There is easy access to level sites for caravans and buses that are also excellent for. Set in the shadow of Mt Maroon just near the border between Queensland and New South Wales, Flanagan's Reserve started life as a large well treed paddock of 28 acres surrounded by private pastoral properties, with an occasional resident caretaker in a caravan at weekends.

The grounds are nestled amongst a natural bush setting at the foothills of Mt Maroon and the World Heritage listed Mt Barney National Park. The start of the walk is about a 10 minute drive from Flanagan's. The long weekend felt as though the grounds were overcrowded and campers were on top of each other.
